Before blueprints were drawn or concrete was poured, a band of 56 pioneers kickstarted the Altamonte Springs SDA Church on February 4, 1961. That is 63 years ago. From humble beginnings in the local library, they dreamed big, bought land, and crafted a cozy chapel to call their own.
Fast forward to the 70s when plans for a sanctuary took shape. With Faith in a God who know no failure, this band of believers broke ground, and birthed a brand-new sanctuary by June 8, 1974. Debt? What debt? By 1979, they had vanquished $185,000 worth of debt.
During the 80s, the church took a leap and birthed a shiny new Family/Youth/Community/Social building. Through faith and the power of community, a debt-free dream became reality on March 28, 1992 .
From youth programs to thrilling Bible Bowls, the Altamonte Springs Church has kept the flame of community alive with Saturday socials and a heartwarming food drive. They use to have a roller skating rink and basketball and a whole host of activities were experienced in our facility. Today, with over 700 members, the church stands tall, spreading the message of love and hope to all who seek it.
Welcome to a church that believes in meeting people and introducing them to Jesus.
