Pastor Dion Henry

Dion Henry  has over 26 years of pastoral ministry serving in Southeastern, Central States and currently in Florida Conference. Currently he is the pastor of Altamonte Springs Sda Church .   During his ministry the Lord has blessed him to conduct revivals and family life workshops both nationally and internationally. In addition to his passion for evangelism, God has allowed him to oversee a new church construction, acquisition of land, purchase of a church, renovation project and successful capital campaigns. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology from Oakwood University , Master’s of Divinity and a Doctorate of Ministry Degree from Andrews University. In addition, he is a certified trainer in Prepare/Enrich and has trained several pastors and counselors on this tool to help couples strengthen their relationship. Also, he is an endorsed healthcare Chaplain from the North American Division.  Throughout his ministry the Lord has allowed him to serve on several  community organizations such as Vice-Chair of Samaritan’s Touch Health Care Center, MLK Breakfast Chair of NAACP, American Cancer Society, President of Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, Alzheimer Association and others. 

He is happily married to Dilyn Henry  who is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and currently works for the Florida Conference Education Department. Her responsibilities include coordinating mental health services  for 30 schools by providing individual and group counseling as well as seminars. 

 Together they serve as a part of the family life coordination team at the Southern Union which is led by Dr Ron Smith.
